Description

£999,950 Freehold Sudbury Court Drive, Harrow, HA1

A handsome and well-proportioned 4 bedroom detached house situated on the favoured South side of prestigious Sudbury Court Drive.  Offering great potential to extend and re-model, this desirable and well-presented family home offers generous accommodation with a south-facing rear garden, attached garage, ample driveway parking and views towards Harrow on the Hill from the front.  3D TOUR AVAILABLE.

You are greeted by a reception hall with the original brick fireplace, a guest cloakroom, 2 large reception rooms and a spacious kitchen/dining room which has an extended area for use as a study.  Upstairs are 4 good size bedrooms with the master having an adjacent storage space which would be ideal for conversion to an en-suite.  There is also gas-fired central heating and attractive modern double glazing in keeping with the original style, whilst the attic presents further possibilities for future extension.

One only has to look along the street to understand the opportunities offered by this house, being a detached home on an excellent plot with considerable potential to extend and update to your own requirements.  We highly recommend an early inspection as such properties are rarely for sale.

The area encompassing Sudbury Court Drive and the Pebworth Estate opposite is an enclave of substantial detached homes largely built between the 1930's and 1950's.  There is open farmland nearby, above which Harrow on the Hill proudly stands with St Mary's church and with the historic Harrow School buildings below.  This combination of fine housing in such a convenient suburban location makes this an exclusive and very sought after area.

Nearby large town centres include both Harrow and Wembley, with covered shopping centres and High Street stores plus a choice of major supermarkets and leisure facilities.  These include Wembley Stadium, a multi-screen Vue Cinema, restaurants, bars, gymnasiums, parks and nearby golf courses.  The delightful Conservation Area of Harrow on the Hill is also nearby providing tranquillity, with upmarket coffee bars, restaurants and pubs for entertaining.

Excellent public transport facilities abound with a choice of Piccadilly/Chiltern Line stations (Sudbury Hill) and Bakerloo/Main Line (North Wembley) nearby, Harrow on the Hill Metropolitan/Chiltern Line not far away.  The major road network and London airports are also very accessible and the borough is well known for having many highly regarded state, church and private schools including Orley Farm Preparatory School and John Lyon School on the Hill.  An excellent choice for working people and families as there is something here for everyone.

Notes from the Owner;
We have lived here for the last twenty years and have really enjoyed living here. The house is light and airy with large rooms.  The garden is very private. It’s an ideal family house. My sons attended the local school which is five mins walk from here.  It has walkable tube links being 10 mins to Sudbury Hill for our work commute.  We have direct access across the road to Harrow Farm and also Harrow School grounds for lovely walks through the fields passing cows and lovely nature sights.  A short walk onto the Hill to the various restaurants, pubs and wine bars where many a good evening has been enjoyed.  For food shopping Waitrose in South Harrow is a five minute drive and there are shopping centres in Harrow.  The neighbours have been lovely and it has always felt a safe environment in which to live.
